Monteringsvejledning til Acier Studio hylder

Assembly instructions for Acier Studio shelves

How to mount your shelf safely and correctly on concrete or brick walls.

To ensure the best possible setup, we recommend following the guide below. Be sure that you have received the included screws and rawlplugs.

Tools you will need:

  • Pencil
  • Spirit level
  • Ø8mm drill
  • Screwdriver
  • Hammer (for rawlplugs)

Step-by-step guide:

1. Prepare the installation site
Measure exactly where the shelf will sit and mark the center of the first screw hole. Use a pencil to mark the location. Make sure there are no obstructions inside the wall (wires or pipes).

2. Drill the first hole
Use a Ø8mm drill to drill the first hole where the middle screw (or one of the middle screws) will be placed. Insert the rawl plug into the hole using a hammer until it is flush with the wall.

3. Mount the shelf temporarily
Secure the shelf with the first screw, but stop screwing when there are approx. 0.5 cm left, so the shelf can still be rotated.

4. Align the shelf and mark the remaining holes
Carefully turn the shelf horizontally and use a spirit level to make sure it is level. When the shelf is in the correct position, mark the remaining screw holes with a pencil. Be careful with the wall to avoid scratches while turning the shelf.

5. Drill the remaining holes
Loosen the shelf a little and drill the marked holes with your Ø8mm drill. Insert the supplied rawlplugs.

6. Attach the shelf
Turn the shelf back to horizontal and tighten the screws until they are approx. 0.5 cm from being fully tensioned. Finally, use a screwdriver to finish tightening the screws, but avoid over-tightening , as this can damage both the shelf and the wall.

Extra tips:

  • Be careful to make sure the shelf is level before you tighten all the screws so it sits exactly as you want.
  • Never overtighten the screws with an electric screwdriver - use a manual screwdriver for the last bit for optimal control.
