Daily Cleaning
For everyday cleaning, a damp cloth with a mild cleaning agent is all you need. Wipe the surface down, then dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth or dish towel to prevent water marks and streaking. Always clean in the direction of the grain - the fine, parallel lines visible on the surface. Never against it.
For Stubborn Marks
If everyday cleaning isn't enough, we recommend a cleaning product specifically made for stainless steel - widely available in supermarkets and hardware stores. For grease or residue, isopropyl alcohol can also be used occasionally and works well.
Most Important Rule
Always clean in the direction of the grain. The brushed finish on your Acier piece has a clear direction. Cleaning across the grain can leave visible scratches that are difficult to reverse. Follow the grain, and the surface will stay smooth and consistent.
Patina
Stainless steel needs little, yet gives much. Over time, small marks and a natural patina will develop - not as flaws, but as signs of life. A piece that shows signs of use becomes personal. It gathers quiet character.
