YSTAD är en stilren och funktionell hylla, handgjord i Danmark med stor omsorg. Hyllan är tillverkad i massiv obehandlad mässing, vilket ger ett varmt, levande uttryck och ett material som utvecklas vackert över tid. Ett exklusivt komplement till vardagsrummet, hallen och badrummet, som patineras med åren och blir en del av hemmets historia.
Hyllans enkla form låter materialet vara det framträdande elementet. De försänkta hålen ger den ett rent och minimalistiskt uttryck, i linje med resten av Acier Studios universum. Rawlpluggar och skruvar i 100 % mässing medföljer.
YSTAD är obehandlad mässing – det betyder att hyllan inte är lackerad eller förseglad, utan framstår i sin rena, naturliga form. Det är ett medvetet val, mässing är ett levande material som ändrar karaktär med tiden och blir vackrare för varje dag som det används.
Alla produkter är handgjorda och noggrant kvalitetskontrollerade innan de lämnar verkstaden nära Aarhus.

Om mässing och patina
Mässing utvecklar en naturlig patina över tid. Ytan kan ändra nyans – från gyllene och glänsande till djupare, varmare och mer nyanserade toner – beroende på luft, fukt och beröring. Mindre färgavvikelser, svarta prickar eller lätta repor från handarbetet kan förekomma. Det är inte fel, utan en del av materialets naturliga karaktär och en del av det som gör varje hylla unik. Med tiden blir dessa spår en del av hyllans historia

Avoid acidic, alkaline, chlorine-based or solvent-based cleaning products – these can cause staining or discolouration.
After cleaning
After cleaning, we recommend drying with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and streaks.
Pay special attention
Pay special attention to edges and joints, where liquid or residue may collect and cause discolouration over time.

WHY BRASS?
We focus on premium materials. Brass carries a warmth and depth that few materials can match, with a natural surface that deepens in character rather than staying static. Unlike inert materials, brass is alive – it responds to touch, air, and time, and grows more distinctive the longer it is used.
Warmth: Brass offers a rich, golden tone that no other metal can replicate. Its surface catches light differently in every room, bringing a quiet warmth to spaces that steel and aluminium leave cold.
Character: Brass develops a natural patina over time – subtle shifts in tone, small marks from daily use, a gradual deepening from bright gold to richer, warmer hues. This is not a flaw but the material's defining quality, a mark of authenticity that cannot be manufactured.
Craftsmanship: Brass rewards handling and care. It is a softer, more organic material than stainless steel, shaped and finished by hand rather than mass-produced. A quality that harder, more uniform metals cannot replicate.
Our pieces are designed, handcrafted, and warehoused in our local workshop in Aarhus, Denmark. By producing in smaller volumes and working with trusted specialists, we keep quality close and support local hands and local communities.
